Parish Council

About Us

The Parish Pastoral Council is the coordinating and unifying structure within the parish community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Its purpose is to achieve full participation of the whole parish in its mission by giving everyone a voice in encouraging, guiding and participating in the various aspects of parish life. The Council gathers together the thoughts and ideas of the community, works with them until it reaches a consensus and translates them into parish priorities. These priorities are the stimuli for programs that the parish community will carry out.

The Council, together with the Pastor, works at setting the priorities, goals, and objectives of the Parish by providing for constant communication, periodic open meetings and shared evaluations with the total parish community. All parishioners, through serving on one or more of the six committees of the Council are eligible for service on the Council.

How can I get involved?

All Council meetings are open meetings and parishioners are encouraged to bring their concerns to these meetings which are always announced in advance in the church bulletin. Generally, the Council meets on the 4th Tuesday of every other month but the proximity to the holiday celebrations may change the meeting days. Please refer to the bulletin for times and dates of the upcoming meetings. The Council holds its meetings in the Gathering Area of the Church starting at 7:00 PM on meeting days.

Check out the parish calendar for meeting dates.
